In addition to the current duties of the Electronic Enrollment Specialist I, the Electronic Enrollment Specialist II is responsible for higher-difficulty transactions and issue management. This typically involves a greater knowledge base and ability to conduct relevant research, and requires a maintained understanding of data flow processes between HMSA and other parties.The Electronic Enrollment Specialist II must also identify processing issues and recommend viable solutions to gain operational efficiencies while developing new or maintaining and improving existing workflows that will help to improve the experience for our customers. Through concierge service, the Electronic Enrollment Specialist II will play a big part in providing our members with access to a sustainable and quality health care system that improves the overall health and well-being of our state.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processes a variety of membership changes that require special handling, retaining ownership of problems until they reach resolution. Maintains an understanding of the electronic enrollment data flow processes between our employer groups, Benefitfocus, and HMSA in order to complete complex transactions that may involve multiple systems, such as those needed to effect retroactive enrollment corrections. Reviews electronic files to identify and resolve simple system-related data flow discrepancies. Investigates transactions that did not go through the processing system by completing research and correcting errors within expected standards of performance for quality and production. Assists with preventive maintenance by analyzing, identifying and logging potential processing issues and root problems, then synthesizing relevant data to recommend viable solutions and workarounds.

  • Outreach and respond to telephone and email inquiries from members, third party administrators, and groups in a professional and timely manner to resolve the inquiry or problem. This includes documenting the inquiry and its resolution and represents the second tier of customer.

  • Assists with group configuration updates, when necessary. Performs validation and audits to ensure that all conversions and daily synchronization of data to Benefitfocus are complete and accurate. Researches any rejects for group and member loads.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate‚Äôs degree (A.A.) and one year work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

  • Problem solving skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
