The videos will be used to support HMSA’s advertising, corporate communications, and public relations efforts. As required, the video producer/editor will also provide photography services to further support the efforts listed above.When you apply, portfolio required (i.e. in resume, include web link(s) to show work samples, etc.).Duties and Responsibilities:Direct, produce and edit high quality, cost-effective videos that support HMSA’sadvertising, corporate communications, and public relations efforts. Responsibilities may include:Meet with management, customers and or external vendor to define video requirements.Write scripts for video.Create storyboards for each project.Produce and direct video shoot.Shoot and edit videos for internal and external use.Create and apply video graphics.Create video files for hmsa.com and other related web sites.Create and maintain budgets and timelines for each project. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Participate as a member of the Creative Team to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts and direction for videos.Identify, select and manage third-party vendors such as production companies, freelance writers, directors, producers, and talent as needed.Route videos to appropriate customers for review and approval. Make necessary changes.Output final video in the format required by the customer. Provide videos for broadcast to the Advertising Coordinator.Meet with departmental Vice Presidents, Directors and Managers to discuss/evaluate project development.Set up and maintain all components of the video communications infrastructure. Responsibilities may include:Set up and maintain archiving process for all videos produced.Ensure daily/weekly/monthly backups are completed for the MAC editing system.Develop a disaster recovery plan for the MAC system.Serve as the liaison between HMSA and MAC technical support vendor(s).Serve as the liaison between the video unit and IS for any problems or support issues.Manage and track all projects being completed by the video unit and present status to management staff, executives and customers (internal and external) at agreed upon dates. Responsibilities may include:Maintain the video production unit’s project calendar. Redesign set up and reports as necessary.Develop and maintain a project dashboard for all video projects.Other duties may include:As required, shoot photos as requested for video, print, or Web publication.Assist Communications management staff with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.Oversee work and provide mentoring for other graphic artists performing video-related tasks.Conducting interviews with internal and external candidates.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts, Design, Communications, or related field or equivalent amount of related experience.Two (2) years producing and editing film/video productions.Experience operating video cameras, tripods, lights and other equipment in a professional manner.Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro or equivalent software.Strong verbal and written communication skills to work with corporate clients, organize on-location shoots, direct voice over talent, select music tracks, create storyboards and write scripts.Must have valid driver’s license, access to an automobile with current license, registration and no fault insurance for traveling to multiple locations statewide for location scouting and video shoots.Will require occasional evening and weekend work for special projects/events.EEO/AA/Disability/Vets Employer
