Kaiser Permanente Workforce Health Consultant in Honolulu, Hawaii

This position serves as a wellness program consultant in a customer facing capacity to support Sales and Account Management (S&AM) on customers' worksite wellness needs. The position includes complex analysis/evaluation of customers' business and/or process and functional requirements, development of proposals, client support during implementation, development, and maintenance of service level agreements. This position is responsible for developing strategic relationships with business partners (both internal and external) and understanding the business processes of customers and how they relate to our functional areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with S&AM to develop wellness programs and strategies to achieve sales and retention goals. Lead development of RFP responses and responsible for the development and management of program proposals, recommendations, implementation plans, communication packages, performance measurement tools, and training materials related to the assigned project. Responsible for conducting wellness presentations to customers, brokers, and consultants included at National, Strategic, Labor and Trust (L&T), Board of Director, and C-Suite leadership levels.

  • Accountable for wellness program engagement through all consulting stages. Facilitate customer, S&AM, and Products engagement throughout the development life cycle. Responsible for strategically influencing and developing program participation goals for engagement plans in collaboration with customers. Accountable for tracking, analyzing, and reporting wellness program results for both customers and Kaiser Permanente leaders.

  • Lead functional requirements and prepare workforce health engagement plans. Identify and access health and wellness resources from Kaiser Permanente and the community to serve client objectives.

  • Adhere to, develop, and improve Workforce Health implementation processes with cross functional areas. Identify onboarding requirements for customer implementations and work collaboratively with customer on non-standard custom implementations.

  • Act as an internal and external expert and resource for wellness programs to provide expertise in workforce health by using philosophy, tools, and resources to develop appropriate customer solutions. Keep current on wellness market trends and leverage market expertise to advance membership and retention through innovative consulting.

  • Provide on-going project management and status reporting at all levels by problem solving and managing through complex resource demands.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Minimum of three (3) years of total experience in a healthcare related field

  • Minimum of two (2) years in a consulting, sales, business development or account management role.


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care, or related field, or four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in oral communication and written communication.

  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing, conflict resolution, and motivational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare environment.

  • WELCOA certification.

  • Master's degree in business administration, health care, or related field preferred.
